Good-quality bystander CPR triples OHCA survival
NSW registry study (n=17,715) found any bystander CPR increased 30-day survival odds by 70%, but good-quality bystander CPR more than tripled odds (aOR 2.62) while poor-quality CPR showed no benefit.

Wearables could double unwitnessed OHCA survival
WA simulation modelling across 11,450 OHCA cases estimated wearable pulselessness-detection could double 30-day survival among unwitnessed arrests (0.5% to 1.1%) with 10% device uptake and 80% sensitivity.

Double sequential defibrillation shows no benefit
NZ EMS observational study (n=1,401) found no survival benefit after DSD implementation for refractory VF/VT, with lower ROSC odds in DSD patients likely reflecting confounding by indication.
