• Few OHCA patients eligible for eCPR in Germany

  Ten-year German registry study modelling eCPR eligibility after OHCA in a mixed urban-rural region — of 1,696 analysed arrests, only 348 (20.5%) met local eligibility criteria at ambulance arrival and just 149 (8.8%) met the stricter modified ELSO definition, with the study also testing whether hypothetical intra-arrest transport strategies could meet a 60-minute low-flow target.

• VR adds little to CPR simulation training

  RCT of 246 undergraduate nursing students testing immersive VR plus manikin simulation against manikin simulation alone for CPR group training — no significant difference in self-confidence or CPR group performance after cluster adjustment, though students rated VR higher on satisfaction and usability, and 33.6% reported dizziness and 19% headaches from headsets.
